2024 Labor Day Parade 

Omaha Area Local to march - all members, friends, and family are encouraged to join!

On Monday, September 2, 2024, the Omaha Area Local will be marching in the annual Labor Day parade.

The Omaha Area Local will be wearing the new 2024 APWU t-shirts!

Parade team: The Omaha Area Local will be marching and proudly displaying our banner.  We will have candy to hand out to the crowd. 

What to wear: Wear your NEW 2024 APWU Union t-shirt.  The Union will be providing these t-shirts for free to all participants. 

What to bring: Wagons, dogs, pull-behind coolers - almost anything you want to march with is OK. 

How far: Approximately 14 blocks.

Event Tent: At 12th and Cass, the parade ends at the tent where participants can enjoy FREE hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and pop. Beer will cost $3. The Omaha Area Local will hand out wristbands to those participating - one wristband will get an entire family into the post-parade picnic until 1:30 pm.

Omaha Area Local is #15 - meet at the SE corner of 16th Street and Mike Fahey Street.

Ends: 12th and Cass [approximately 1 mile].

WHEN: The parade team will assemble from 9 am through 10 am for pictures and refreshments. We expect to start marching in the parade around 10:30 a.m. 

The time spent participating in the parade will be approximately 1 1/2 hours.

All members, family, and friends are invited to march in the parade!
